Welcome to The BIRTH Project Network, an online meet-up where women come together to tell their stories, relate to each other, and soak in information from the best in the birth community. The goal of The BIRTH Project is to add value to the birth community through storytelling. By publishing birth stories written by parents, I hope to spread awareness, knowledge, and connection in regards to the pregnancy, birth, and postpartum processes.
The BIRTH Project Network is a way to further connect, relate to, and learn from others in the birth community. Each online meeting is topic-based and topics range from pregnancy, to birth, postpartum, and beyond. Each meeting is one hour in length and features a subject matter expert (SME). The SME is always someone who has more knowledge, experience, and qualifications on the given topic than I do. The SME is present to partake in the discussion, share their stories, share information, and answer questions.
How to Participate
The meeting is free of cost and is conducted via Zoom, an online conferencing tool. The meeting is limited to 10 participants (not including the special guest and myself) to ensure an intimate setting, and to give everyone who wants to an opportunity to speak.
Take a look at the upcoming meet-up topics and dates below. If you’re interested in participating in one or more of the meet-ups, or you think you’d qualify as an SME for any topic, please contact me using the form at the bottom of the page and let me know where your interest lies. Our first meet-up will be about home births! If you have an idea for a topic that isn’t listed, I’d love to hear that, too!

Topic: Nutrition During Pregnancy
Are you interested in learning some real, practical, and applicable ways to take hold of your nutrition during pregnancy? There is so much conflicting information out there about what you should and shouldn’t put into your body during pregnancy, and it can be overwhelming. Join this meet-up to learn about what your body needs during pregnancy, what it doesn’t, and how to practice sound nutrition when all you might be craving is pizza and ice cream. Throughout the discussion you’ll have an opportunity to share what’s worked for you so far, ask questions of the SME, and take in information that you can carry with you throughout your pregnancy journey.
Please use the form below to indicate which meet-up you are interested in. Please also list which days and times work best for you so I can try to accommodate all who are interested. I’m so excited to connect with you!
